This type of base is suitable for both sci-fi and fantasy settings which can be painted and finished as-is.

This size of base is ideal for larger individual models such as infantry, hero characters, terminators, banner bearers and daemons

The photographic example was built up using the following method:

> Small rubble and gravel particles on openings and cracks to add depth
> Surface foundation of 3 part mix of wall filler, acrylic paint and PVA
> Black primer
> Sponged on concrete and sandstone colours
> Simple dark wash
